YPF reports record profits while Trump Media sees significant losses
YPF announced record profits in the second quarter, while Trump Media showed major losses despite an increase in revenue.
YPF reported record profits of $2.8 billion in the second quarter. The company also announced a net income of $1.205 billion, with a 47% growth in shale oil production, leading to investments of $1.34 billion.
On the other hand, Trump Media & Technology Group Corp reported losses of $238.1 million in the same quarter of 2026. This decline occurred despite an 89% increase in revenue, reflecting significant financial challenges for the company.
Despite the losses, Trump Media signed over 10 agreements with clients and anticipates that the product will generate recurring revenue in an effort to reverse the negative trend in its finances.
