Google has begun testing a new homepage for its search service, where the familiar 'Search in Google' button is no longer displayed. Instead, some unregistered users are seeing a series of icons that lead to artificial intelligence-based functionalities, reports iXBT.com.

According to the company, the functionality of the search itself remains unchanged. This has also been confirmed by other sources, which indicate that the focus is on integrating AI elements into the new design.

The new layout has been noticed by users who were able to try out the modified interface. Google appears to aim to engage users more in utilizing AI features to expand the application diversity of the search engine.
