The Portuguese Institute of Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) has issued a yellow warning for nine districts in mainland Portugal, valid until Thursday. The warning is due to the rise in temperatures expected in the coming days.

The affected districts include Bragança and Vila Real, located in the North of the country, and Viseu and Guarda, situated in the Central region. The IPMA warns that temperatures may reach significant values, necessitating precautions from the public.

In addition to these, other districts are also under watch due to the risks posed by high temperatures. Authorities recommend avoiding outdoor activities during the hottest parts of the day.

The forecast of intensified heat reflects a usual trend for this time of year, but the specifics of the weather may vary in the coming hours, with the public advised to follow updates issued by the IPMA.
